Word-Treasure Bible
 Word-Treasure Bible

Word-Treasure Bible – that means: biblical texts and narratives scientifically concisely edited, context-sensitively interpreted, spelled out in a way that is relevant to life and practice, and presented in an understandable way.

The focus of Wort-Schatz Bibel is on central biblical texts, which are prepared in an interdisciplinary manner – exegetically, pastorally-theologically-homiletically, religiously-pedagogically-didactically – as well as in high professional quality. Initiated by Josef Pichler (Institute for New Testament Biblical Studies, University of Graz) and Walter Prügger (Head of Education, Art & Culture, Diocese of Graz-Seckau), the project is carried out in cooperation with the University of Vienna, the Private University College of Teacher Education (Diocese Graz-Seckau), the Catholic Biblical Association, the Theological Courses and the University Library of Graz. Through this networking and the resulting multi-perspective approach, the meaning potential and the polyphony of biblical texts can be explored in a variety of ways and – in a way that connects with contemporary issues – can be brought to the fore in a vivid and comprehensible way for pastoral and pedagogical fields of action.
