Synopsis
Projects supported by many actors are easy on the budgets of individuals and increase the probability that the projects will be successful. However, this form of cooperation raises many questions for all those involved. They range from financing to the visibility of the cooperation. In response the National Contact Point Open Access OA2020-DE and the transcript publishing house have set up the community platform “ENABLE! Libraries, publishers and authors for open access in the humanities and social sciences”. It aims at taking up the challenges and opportunities that open access offers to all those involved in publishing. This is achieved by means of a community-building process and by jointly developing innovative publication models.
