Synopsis
Due to progressive digitisation of library stocks and the associated broad public accessibility, questions about the content of the media provided and the responsibility of librarians in this regard must be increasingly asked as well. In this sense, the C3-Library for International Development is dedicated to researching forms of racism in its stock. By way of example, this article examines one stock segment in terms of potential racist content. It moreover maps the international field of research, identifies the topic’s relevance for libraries, and presents options for action.
