Synopsis
Joint collaborations between libraries and Digital Humanities Researches are expanding. Still there is a lot of potential for libraries especially when leaving the service-approach behind. The concept of embedded librarianship offers a valuable model for such parternships. Whenever library-data becomes research-data, the direction of the data-flow is unfortunately often one-way. Metadata from library catalogs can be research-data of distinct quality. To ensure quality and relevance, libraries should integrate domainexpertise. Nonetheless a different understanding of library catalogs is needed
as well.
