In view of the profound upheavals in the course of the current media revolution - triggered by 'intelligent' algorithms and advancing digitalization - there is a considerable social need to engage critically with AI-supported processes. In order to meet this need, the most inclusive AI education possible is required as part of critical media and AI literacy, which promotes ethical, legal and democratic skills in addition to technical knowledge. The serious game Journalism_AI, developed as part of the Styrian Future Fund, addresses this challenge and opens up an experimental, collaborative learning space for participants in which they can adopt different perspectives, each with their own specific logic, and independently research knowledge in order to make informed decisions on the regulation of AI systems in journalism.
