Synopsis
This article describes how the Zentralbibliothek Zürich (ZB) has been systematically developing the field of Citizen Science since 2021 and gives an overview of the concrete projects. The spectrum ranges from crowdsourcing (georeferencing, transcribing), through the participatory creation of Open Educational Resources for school lessons, to collaborative writing of Wikipedia articles. The goal of this practical report is that other academic libraries can benefit from the experiences of the ZB in their own projects.
