Synopsis
A new experimental learning space has been established at the TU Wien Bibliothek: Davis stands for Data Visualisation Space. This facility is open to all faculties for teaching use and offers special infrastructure for the visualisation of data in 3D and 2D. Through courses and individually, students can acquire and deepen relevant skills and use them for their work. The establishment of Davis is the result of considerations how to perceive the university library as central knowledge hub and learning space in an increasingly digitised world. This contribution presents the motivation and the implementation of the project.
