Author Guidelines

If you would like to publish with Graz University Library Publishing, please first submit a proposal (get your template). On the basis of the proposal, the Scientific Board will decide on the acceptance of the manuscript. When preparing your publication, please also consider the requirements listed in the review guidelines.

The information sheet for authors provides important hints and tips on how to design and edit your manuscript. To prepare the publication, please use the templates we provide for Word and LaTeX (available at ub.publikationsservices@uni-graz.at). Please note that no further formatting will be applied to the PDF file you provide. Based on your specifications, the cover will be designed by our team.

In line with good scientific practice and in order to ensure the traceability and re-use of the results presented in your publication, we also offer you the possibility of  making your research data available via a DOI or linking them to your publication via a QR code.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • If you would like to contribute to one of our proceedings, please go to one of the following pages: Tagungsband ÖBK 2025 or Tagungsband Open Science.
  • You are affiliated with the University of Graz or would like to contribute to an edited volume to be published by the University of Graz.
  • The submitted text must be in one of the following formats: Word, LaTeX, RTF, PDF, OpenDocument.
  • Ensure that standards of good scientific practice are met (cf. the „Initiative Gute wissenschaftliche Praxis der Uni Graz“).
  • Your submission meets the criteria set out in the guidelines for the peer review process.
