Synopsis
As part of a participatory research project on the history of the “Lebensborn” maternity home Wienerwald, carried out in 2023/24 at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Research on Consequences of War in cooperation with the University of Graz, four videos were produced that interweave historical analysis with biographical perspectives. Supported and facilitated by the Open Innovation in Science (OIS) Center of the Ludwig Boltzmann Society, these videos integrate principles of Open Science and OIS into the field of contemporary historical research. Their objective is to render research findings accessible through dialogical and inclusive formats. This article offers an analysis of the development and content of the videos, aiming to contribute to ongoing discussions on participatory research methodologies and innovative strategies for historical knowledge dissemination.
