Synopsis
Since 2023, the University of Graz has been offering its OER portal, a repository for Open Educational Resources (OER). The OER portal is a key factor in the university’s OER policy and for making OER more attractive. As there are no national repositories available in Austria to date, individual higher education institutions are required to set up their own technical infrastructure. This article describes the path taken by the University of Graz concerning OER infrastructure, support, application and quality assurance, and it presents insights and challenges. The case study illustrates how an individual solution can be designed which is sensitive to the specific conditions at a university.
