Synopsis
The production of heavy-duty road vehicles significantly impacts both financial costs and the environment. Circular practices, such as recycling, aim to reduce this impact but often result in low-value processes due to the loss of embodied product value and challenges in separating mixed materials. Remanufacturing offers a higher-value alternative by disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting components for reuse, preserving quality and warranty while reducing raw material consumption and manufacturing effort.
