Synopsis
This paper introduces a preliminary concept for a digital vehicle passport (DVP) for electric vehicles (EVs), outlining key information requirements to support circular and sustainable product management. The concept is based on systematic stakeholder mapping and a literature review, identifying sustainable practices and data needs for EV component management. The DVP integrates digital product passports (DPPs) of major components, such as batteries, e-motors, and tyres, leveraging data synergies. Three practical use cases across the vehicle life cycle are presented. This study advances DPP research by addressing complex multi-component products.
