Synopsis
As a national aggregator, the manuscript portal manuscripta.at offers the possibility of displaying medieval codices from collections throughout Austria in all their facets. This enables access not only to the collections of the large public libraries such as the Austrian National Library or university libraries, but also to the many private collections, especially monastic libraries. What successful cooperation between libraries and the manuscripta.at team can look like is to be exemplified with the holdings of the special collections of the ULBT Innsbruck. In this way, cultural heritage is made visible, free of charge and low-threshold, both for further research and for the public.
