This contribution presents a digitisation project carried out by the Karl Popper Archives (KPA) of the University Library Klagenfurt. In 2021–2022, the Umkreismaterialien collection of the KPA was digitised. This collection consists of documents and materials found inside in the books of Karl Popper’s library. The contribution provides a schematic overview of the Umkreismaterialien collection and describes the process of digitising the collection. This includes analysing the metadata of the holdings to estimate costs and preparing the digitised material for search and access.
