Synopsis
In May 2022, ZentralGut, the portal for the digital cultural heritage of Central Switzerland, was launched. The six Swiss cantons of Lucerne, Schwyz, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Uri and Zug collect a variety of materials on Helvetic history in many different cultural heritage institutions. Libraries, archives, museums and other private initiatives collect these cultural assets. The focus of the article is on how a new portal is integrated into the working environment of the supporting institution and how this is implemented among the partners. In addition, it is comprehensively described that the exchange and networking of the “data world” of a cultural heritage portal are important for the visibility and the relevance of the project.
