Synopsis

Bernhard Schubert shares his experience as chair of the Commission for Formal Cataloguing since 2016. Through surveys, working groups on IFLA LRM and BIBFRAME, and the Cataloguing Forum, he promoted exchange and innovation. The BIBFRAME group enabled new collaborations, including with Digital Humanities. He sees the VÖB as an open, networked, and idealistic organization that strengthens library work in Austria and opens new perspectives.
