Synopsis

Shortly after the founding of the Association of Austrian Librarians in 1946, the Association began to award honours. During the first two decades, the Association awarded honorary membership, from 1966 on there was also a special silver medal, from 1968 a bronze medal and beginning in 1984 the Association awarded a gold medal for special merits. In 2008, the Association decided to suspend the conferment of the medal and instead present a certificate of honour and a research promotion prize.

Christina Köstner-Pemsel ist Leiterin der Fachbereichsbibliothek Romanistik und Provenienzforscherin an der Universitätsbibliothek Wien. Sie veröffentlichte zu Bibliotheksgeschichte und Provenienzforschung. Zuletzt: Künstliche Intelligenz in Bibliotheken (Hg. gem. mit Elisabeth Stadler und Markus Stumpf). Graz 2020.

Justus Düren, Kunstverwaltung Berlin

Justus Düren ist Provenienzforscher mit den Schwerpunkten Bibliotheken und „Sonderauftrag Münzen“. Forschungsprojekte in der Bibliothek des Bundesdenkmalamts und der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek. Derzeit tätig für die Kunstverwaltung des Bundes, Berlin.
